| Luigi is
a very successful lawyer in Bari. As a matter of fact, he is what is called a
"Notaio". As an example, in Salerno there may be as many as 2,000
attornies, but there may only be 20 notaios, with the number restricted to 20.
Certain types of legal matter, such as realestate transactions may only be handled
by a notaio. While Luigi is a lawyer by trade, his heart may be in mechanical
engineering as he enjoys tinkering. He also has a state of the art computer at which
he is quite adept. Unfortunately, he is reluctant to connect to the Internet fearing
that he may spend too much browsing and responding to emails! His lovely wife, Pinuccia, is not only the mother of 4 wonderful sons, but a lawyer and a notaio as well. As if this were not enough, she studied cooking in France and is an accomplished chef, as can be personally attested to by the author at her grandson's, Juseppe's, Christening. If this were not enough, she was born on the same day and in the same year as the author. |
