About the Website

bulletThe information contained in this website has been collected from a variety of sources and people.  Most of it, however, has been gathered from family members that have been identified both in Italy and across the United States.  A branch of the family has been identified in Argentina.  A connection between another branch of the family, centered in Brazil, has not yet been connected to the "main tree".  The family in Brazil does, however, trace roots back to adjacent towns in Italy.
bulletThis website has been designed/assembled by Nicholas A. D'Agosto III, both as a genealogical tool for documenting the D'Agosto ancestry as well as a personal learning vehicle for doing website design.  If anyone browsing this website sees any error or can provide additional information and/or pictures about anyone listed (or inadvertantly omitted) please contact the author at nick@dagosto.com  Additional information is eagerly solicited.
bulletNote that the full family tree is broken into individual branches to reduce file download times.  It is possible to scroll down (and up) the family tree by scrolling to the bottom of a tree and using the Next link to move to the next tree in sequence.  If you would like to view the entire family tree you can take the link but be forwarned that it may take awhile to download (as much as 3 minutes depending on speed of connection).  Also, the entire tree has not been fully formatted so you may see some anomalies.
bulletIn an attempt to make navigating around the website easier to identify each person's position on the family tree a unique link has been added to each individual's page taking you to that person's family tree.  Hopefully it will make it a little easier to see the structure of the family tree.  When you get to someone's page try taking the link to his/her tree:

bulletThe author and his wife completed a much anticipated and long awaited visit to Italy the end of March, 2000.  They flew into Milan and traveled to Venice, Pisa, Florence and Rome.  When the tour was completed they stayed in Italy with D'Agosto relatives for several additional days to tour the Amalfi coast, Salerno, and Paestum.  They were able to meet the entire D'Agosto family located in Salerno and Bari at that time and see the D'Agosto home in Gioi
